PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS
The PEP is designed for anyone desiring a deeper, embodied knowledge of Alexander Principles, without committing to a Teacher Training Course.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The PEP offers deep personal and professional study in a group setting. There are 5 focus areas that you can choose from, shown in the chart below.
Some events cover foundational material that applies to all focus areas, and other events are specific to the unique interests and challenges of each focus area.
In the past, one could only dive deeply into the personal and pedagogical aspects of Alexander Work by joining a Teacher Training Course - whether or not they were actually interested in becoming a Certified Alexander Teacher. But there are so many people who want the depth of the experience without having to commit to becoming a teacher.
Some people want to commit to a deep, embodied, personal growth practice in a like-minded community - they are drawn to participate in a Personal Enrichment, focusing their studies on personal choices of body, mind, and heart.
Some people already have professional accreditation in another field, but want to expand their skills to include Alexander Principles - they are drawn to Professional Enrichment, focusing their studies on the blending of AT Principles into their professional settings, and augmenting their hand skills and professional “toolkit”.
And so, the PEP was created to address this need. Now, people can join the CAS community for in-depth, rigorous study in personal and professional enrichment, without having to commit to Teacher Training.
Importantly - all time and tuition in the PEP does count towards the CAS Teacher Training Course - just in case you decide that you would like to become a Certified Alexander Teacher after your PEP experience.
The PEP is offered as a half-time program or a full-time program. Each program requires a 1 year commitment. You may repeat the 1 year PEP as many times as you choose.
