Workshops are a perfect way to have an introductory Alexander experience; explore new dimensions to your art-making, music or sports; or supplement your professional skills. Ranging from 1 - 3 days, CAS workshops cover a wide range of topics, at varied levels of interest and expertise.
Do you participate in a group sport, music ensemble, or hobby? Workshops are an ideal way to create a new experience for your entire group. CAS sends teachers all over the US, offering a range of workshops to special interest groups. Contact us if you think your group might be interested in hosting a workshop in your area.
CAS offers a full range of Introductory Workshops designed to vitalize your daily and professional life. Whether you choose a body or belief-centered topic, you will have an engaging, highly experiential, opportunity to explore your own limits and potential.
Introductory Workshops can be about your body, your beliefs, your energy, your intuition, your gender-expression, what you do for work or what you do for play, and more.
Here are some sample CAS workshops:
We teach people while they do whatever they love to do - often going to wherever they do it - including rock climbers, bicyclists, kayakers, swimmers, runners, golfers, archers, basketball and football players, and more.
We would love to customize a workshop for your particular group. Find out about hosting a workshop in your area.
At CAS, we offer Alexander Teachers from every lineage the opportunity to expand and deepen their skills. No one program can address all of the areas of expertise required for truly inspiring teaching. That’s why Post-Graduate Studies are essential for us all.
If you have been trained in a more classical style, perhaps you would like to add effective group teaching skills, or learn to teach students through life activities - while they are doing whatever they do.
If you have been trained in contemporary applications, perhaps you would like to understand the relationship between classical and contemporary procedures.
If you haven’t been teaching much, perhaps you would like to refresh your hand and language skills.
If you have been teaching a great deal, maybe it’s time for some new ideas and tools?
We live full, active lives, and it is often challenging to create the time and resources needed to consistently pursue our personal and professional explorations, especially when it involves travel. At CAS, we understand this, and have created a way to bring study opportunities to you and your community. How do you start? Contact us. We will work with you to design an initial experience in your area, with your personal and professional communities. From there - who knows? You may find yourself taking an immersion course or professional training that you’ve always been interested in - without the extra time and expense of leaving home.
