Living in a Body™ Online Course is a body mapping certification course which offers a simple, clear, and fun exploration of the basic mechanics of human movement and support. It is the quintessential owner’s guide to using our bodies in accordance with our design, allowing people of all ages to experience ease in their body.
LIVING IN A BODY™ has been slowly crafted by Robyn Avalon over 40 years of studying, teaching, and training others in the work of F. M. Alexander and the principles of Body Mapping. She has developed a practical and easy way to help people truly understand and embody the architecture and efficiency of our design. It is taught in Europe, Asia, and North America, and has been translated into 5 languages, and is a profound tool for educators.
This online course offers you the tools to help yourself and your students/clients understand possible underlying reasons for fatigue, tension, pain, technical limitations, and sometimes even injury. It is ideal for those who teach and work with others!
Please note: There are 2 ways to complete LIAB™ Certification - taking it in 2 parts (one online and one in person) or taking the entire course in person. This online course is Part 1.
The LIAB™ online course (Part 1) does not include the full LIAB™ material, as all of the group games and etudes cannot be effectively taught or experienced online. To become a Certified LIAB™ Instructor, participants will have to complete the remaining material (Part 2), which will be offered in person in the USA, Europe, UK, and Asia each year, as conditions allow. There will be an additional fee for the in-person portion. Part 1 students are welcome to use the LIAB™ material for themselves, but are not able to use the title ‘Certified LIAB™ Instructor’ until they have completed the full training (Parts 1 and 2).
